The Finnish Nature Centre Haltia

The Finnish Nature Centre Haltia is located in the Nuuksio National Park in Espoo. The sculptural education and information centre was designed by Rainer Mahlamäki of Lahdelma & Mahlmäki Architects and completed in 2013.
The three-storey building is situated on a steep slope, and its main elevation material wood communicates the buildings function as a nature information centre. The structural members and interior surfaces of the Haltia are made of CLT timber. The building consists of a multipurpose hall, exhibition spaces, teaching spaces, library and cafeteria.
