About

Finnisharchitecture.fi is a curated database of Finnish architecture administered by Archinfo, the Information Centre for Finnish Architecture.

Finnisharchitecture.fi brings Finnish architecture right to your laptop or mobile device. You can embark on a journey through architectural sites from the comfort of your own armchair, or bookmark your favourites to plan a real-life visit.

The database currently features nearly 350 architects and firms, and 800 projects in Finland or by Finnish architects, spanning locations across the globe – from Oregon, USA, to China and Cambodia.

Mission

The goal of Finnisharchitecture.fi is to present socially, ecologically, and culturally sustainable Finnish architecture and to include all key works and creators of Finnish architecture, from historical archives to the present day.

This new Finnisharchitecture.fi web service was launched on 3 February 2026 – exactly 128 years after the birth of Finland's most celebrated architect, Alvar Aalto, now honoured as a national Flag Day – with the support of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Finland.

The renewal project's steering group included representatives from SAFA, ATL and the AD Museum, and the project was managed by Archinfo.
