Viitastenperä Shelter

The shelter is located on the shore of Lake Hervantajärvi and is part of a new 10-kilometre hiking trail. The end stop of the city’s tram line lies in the vicinity of the area. The shelter disappears into a hillock and carries references to peat goahtis. The vaulted structure consists of 2 x 4-inch planks. The building materials were transported to the site by a boat. In addition to the shelter, Malin Moisio has also designed woodsheds and dry latrines along the trail.
