Meilahti Hospital Area, Main Entrance Lobby and Traffic Arrangements

Extract from the Finnish Architecture 2010-2011 jury report:

“The expansion of the lobby spaces underneath the slight incline to incorporate ambulance traffic is skilfully executed, and the repetition of the various rounded elements produces a memorable biomorphic ambience. At the same time it created a new plastically vigorous landscape in the centre of the hospital area.”
