Lahdelma & Mahlamäki’s Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw shortlisted for the Mies van der Rohe prize 2015

POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw, Poland, by Lahdelma Mahlamäki Architects has been shortlisted for the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award 2015. The museum building was awarded with the first ever Finlandia Prize for Architecture in November 2014.

The five finalists will be announced in London by the end of February. The finalists will present their projects on 7 May after which the Jury will decide on the winner.  The award ceremony for one of the most prestigious awards in international architecture, as well as the new Emerging Architect Prize, will take place at the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion in Barcelona on 8 May 2015.

An exhibition of the 420 nominees can be visited at the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB) until 19 March, 2015.
